Product Description

 

Trichloroethylene (TCE), also known as trichloroacetylide, is a colorless, slightly sweet volatile liquid and a highly soluble solvent. It is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and ether. It is non-flammable under normal conditions. Due to its moderate boiling point, high vapor pressure, strong stability, and suitability for gas washing operations, it is used in industry for metal cleaning (thorough degreasing) and fiber degreasing.

Application

1. Cleaning agent
As a cleaning agent, it has developed rapidly in the metal parts and electronic components cleaning market. It is mainly used in color TV, refrigerator, automobile, air conditioner, precision machinery and microelectronics industries to clean metal parts, electronic components, etc.
2. Chemical intermediates
Currently, as a chemical intermediate, the downstream products of trichloroethylene that have been industrially produced in China include tetrachloroethylene, hexachloroethane, dichloroacetyl chloride, octachlorodipropyl ether, HFC-134a, etc.
3. Others
As a solvent and extractant, its consumption accounts for about 15% of the total consumption, and is mainly used in the production of caprolactam, pesticides, and medicines. Other consumption areas of trichloroethylene in my country include expanders and unsaturated resin coatings, accounting for about 5%; dry cleaning agents and refrigerants, accounting for about 10%.
